This Christmas Season

We hope you all had a great time with family and friends during this Christmas season.  The church cafe had a lot of families and friends that visited this month.  Natalie made eggnog to sell for the first time and it was a hit!  It was everyone's first time to try a drink like this and they loved it!  Many families came to spend their night at the café decorating cookies or participating in some of the other festive activities we had available.  It is wonderful to see so many from Motul come out to spend their Christmas season with us.  We pray every night that we would serve them with joy and they would feel the love of Jesus as they enter through our doors.

Caleb had his winter belt exam at his MMA dojo.  This was his first exam being with the older class that he has been training with since summer.  He held up well with all of the physical training and kickboxing ability tests that night.  He not only passed, but he passed 2 levels and received his green belt!  We are so proud of him!

Women's night was another packed-out night this month.  We showed the movie "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and had a chocolate gift exchange.  We had some new faces come and hope that they will return next month.  Since we started Women's Nights almost 2 years ago, we have been studying different women from the Bible.  This year we will start studying the Sermon on the Mount.

This Christmas season Len taught a 3-part series on Sundays, "The Promise To Come," "The Promise Delivered," and "The Promise to Return."  On Sunday, December 22, we celebrated our Christmas service.  We had a family church service in which everyone was in the sanctuary, including babies and little kids; and afterwards we shared lunch as each family brought some food to share.
