Valentine's Day is the biggest day at Calvary Cafe.  Many love to come and celebrate with their loved ones here.  We were staffed up, had special Valentine's desserts available, and a couple's dinner promotion. It is a lot of hard work, but it is always a blessing to see people come and enjoy their time with us.  Most people who eat at the café are not from the church.  It is still a great opportunity to get to know people and invite them to come to church on Sunday. Starting this new year, we are taking the time to see what ministries and opportunities the Lord is calling us to.  He opened many doors last year, and we are praying about what is next.  There is the possibility of 3 different teams coming this year, a Bible study starting in the village of San Pedro Cámara, and an opportunity to minister to the moms of the kids who have special needs.  Please keep us in your prayers, and that the Holy Spirit would guide us as we start to pl

December is always one of our favorite months.  The decorations, the traditions, and the ministry are always so filled with joy.  But this year, we had a new ministry that spilled over into the other ministries - Christmas shoeboxes for San Pedro Cámara.  If you remember, in October, we had our first outreach at the school in that village, serving the kids with our Superhero VBS.  We were invited back, and so this time we were coming with presents. We started this month by praying for our new youth leaders who will be taking over and leading the youth ministry.  We are excited about this change as the Lord has led us.  Their first youth night, "Jesus, Fun, and Pizza," was just that, plus some socks!  All of the youth wore crazy socks and had a fun race to see how many they could put on.  Many youth came out for the first time!
